IIRC, you cannot renew beyond 10 years, the interface simply won't let you. The only exception to this is during a transfer, if you have over nine years of time remaining on your domain when you attempt to transfer between registrars, you will end up with 10 years from today, and lose the rest of the renewal. btw, does anyone know if an RSP<-- --> RSP transfer is handled the same way, or what exactly will happen if you transfer a domain with 9.5 years left on it? -- The nice thing about standards, there is enough for everyone to have their own.
