Ant may be written in OCaml but the author himself pointed out
recently that ant wasn't written for speed and isn't fast. It's
designed, like luaTeX, to be easy to modify and extend (as long as you
know OCaml and can recompile). It did include a scripting language
before luaTeX :) but not a full-featured one.
