Hi, I am pondering using \pdfmatch for some application that might eventually be migrated to LuaTeX. My scraps of half-knowledge right of the top of my head indicate that LPEG is compiled into LuaTeX, and that LPEG contains a module that is able to parse regular expression syntax into LPEG.
Given those basics, do people see major stumbling blocks for implementing a mostly compatible \pdfmatch as LuaTeX macros? If not, I might just use \pdfmatch in my application and leave the problem of a LuaTeX based implementation for later.
