That's what I am updating from. The strategy "search for what works for
Sure, but that is just a subset of the texlive repository and I am very
reluctant to deviate from that. Peter says that at least the old, unused
files will go away soon. If you want autofoo to be run automatically,
--enable-maintainer-mode should do the trick (but that documentation
is missing)
