I think this makes the most sense. You can't really have more than one clock inside the MediaStream graph without introducing a lot of complexity. Maybe someday, but I don't think we've demonstrated a need for that complexity yet... you might avoid this particular resampling step, but the moment you interact with another stream in a non-trivial manner it comes back. Also, while there can be many input devices, we're really only set up to support a single output device.
