The same thing is happening with a new profile as well. I'm getting the same 
behaviour when clicking on the green bar for an HTTPS website, which should 
result in a popup as well (if that's what the doorhanger you mentioned is, I 
mean) but it doesn't.

What's weird is that in the meanwhile I also tested this at home (I have a 
x86_64 Fedora 18 both at home and on my Laptop, XFCE on both) and it works fine 
there instead. Is there any log I can provide you with to help you debug the 
issue?
