I think Zack is describing the unix permissions model specifically here, where the 'x' permission is overloaded. It means 'executable' on files, but 'can access contents' on directories. In any case, there is a default creation permission for file on both systems. The API is about being about to change them if you need specific settings with the default might not or did not provide. -r -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJTWsU1AAoJEEcAD3uxRB3viugH/3rphHSsi60gFyPVdNZEbfDo oy+LHBORXpOdv6wEbKLPD3z+DgEy9/VTsPZ4TCY/9Qv4cX2zezSzIIEsos+hfAMh DLQK9qDjUR6xCpCB34pKDec5FJ4D0RS6UIP/FWo4zPeBPEvXu87I45TH2a3q9JLT YBmIR5sbP8kh0ogGmPlj31aQIc+vfAq6UGnerjMxrLTxuwrHq04rbNl1L5uFLKIL y34dP0VZ8Ex+ap5iXXl51FhX6hp7pv8dEUgqSsJAKuK66NYK9r5KitklZljvs5wm 2/QfKPQ/k1B5SOT1058KF/kubwPrmDly6vd6BS2lcY43IuoMQi/TocP82aFgoi8= =CNlt -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ dev-platform mailing list dev-platform@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-platform
