See the thread (https://groups.google.com/a/mozilla.org/g/dev-platform/c/Ob-T1HSe-4I) <https://groups.google.com/a/mozilla.org/g/dev-platform/c/Ob-T1HSe-4I> which I posted when I enabled this in early beta builds and the nightly channel.

Currently, we don't have any open bug reports of web apps which are broken by this change. And it's really nice to ship this before the next ESR may make web developers of editable apps free from adding/maintaining some Firefox specific path in late this year. Therefore, I believe that it's good time to ship this new behavior in 115.

Note that once we enable the new behavior by default, web apps cannot enable the legacy behavior by themselves because we want to remove the legacy mode from the editor module as soon as possible. However, once we got reports of breaking some web apps, we can allow specific web apps to run in the legacy mode with an allowed list pref temporarily.
