Yes, set a date after which Firefox won't support it, like 1/1/2010, or Release 4. Just let all the others know, they'll follow suit.
I don't think there is a lot of point in discussing it broadly. If we all know and agree it is an old deprecated feature, then there is some merit in just drawing a line under it.
(If only we could also say the same about servers that don't do TLS/SNI ... old hobby horse!)
