In general, if Andreas is just hacking patches never to land, for research purposes, no problem. If the idea is to land changes, though, I have to say it is extremely unlikely we would take any not on the Ecma TC39 "Harmony" roadmap. So, horse before cart. That is why I raised es-discuss as a better forum.
