Dear Norris, I used to be with 'ant' for a very long time, as it is beneficial for fine-grained control. However, as projects need mostly the same features, maven has been built. Quick link to its benefits can be found in http://maven.apache.org/benefits-of-using-maven.html. But, as Rhino does not need dependencies, I guess the most important benefit is "automatic reports generation" with very few XML lines, please see: http://htmlunit.sourceforge.net/project-reports.html http://htmlunit.sourceforge.net/project-info.html
Also, it is strongly recommended to have 'continuous integration', so that each time a commit is made, the build will not succeed unless all tests pass. This will ensure that every change is safe, and make sure any fixed bug will not re-emerge for the lifetime of the project :) Please don't hesitate, if you need any help. The .js tests are in mozilla/js/tests, a sibling to the Rhino directory since these tests are shared with SpiderMonkey. > > Is there any consideration for mavenizing Rhino? I've heard good things about Maven, but haven't used it yet. Would you recommend it? What advantages would it offer over the current approach? > > Thanks again, > Ahmed- _______________________________________________ dev-tech-js-engine-rhino mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-tech-js-engine-rhino ____________________________________________________________________________________ Looking for last minute shopping deals?
