What a fool, if only I had read the doco.....

The answer is to call setOptimizationLevel(-1) to force interpreter mode
- no more problems!

Subject: 64k Limit

Hi All,

I've got some large scripts that are mostly global variable declarations
(translations of spreadsheets into associative arrays) and I've reached
a limit in Rhino.

"Encountered code generation error while compiling script: generated
bytecode for method exceeds 64K limit."

I've read somewhere that this only occurs if optimization is on
(compiling) rather than just interpreting. Does anyone know how to turn
off optimization/compilation or how to work round this limit?

Thanks,

Steve
