There are quite a few old and new bugs dealing with mouse events being messed up for (windowless) Flash content in a overflow:auto or overflow:scroll DIVs on Windows.
I know 1.8 is approaching a frozen state, but I would really like to try and get a fix in for this. The reason is that you cannot mix interactive Flash content and DHTML popups (e.g. tooltips, dialogs) on the same page if you wish the flash to be in a scrollable part of the page (because you have to make Flash windowed for the mouse events to work, and then it appears over the top of everything). We have no workaround for the problem other than to ask our users to use IE on Windows L - we use interactive flash diagrams mixed in with text in a Wiki style app. I picked one of the related defects at random: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=271442, and will be posting a patch to that shortly (as soon as I've remade it on the 1.8 code base - I original made my change against Firefox 1.5.0.4) - note I posted a description of the fix there too. Since this is my first bug to fix, I'm not very sure what the process is, but could someone help with setting the priority and targeting the 1.8 beta 2 release (if you agree), and give me any pointers on getting a quick review and maybe getting the issue into triage for 1.8?
