Well, those aren't the words I would use -- there is no "double-standard." At some point, people considered the existence of quirks mode and concluded that it would be good for a set of reasons that are mostly unrelated to the current user-agent issue. Are you actually disputing that claim or just saying "it's not fair!"? And Camino is doing quirks too.
