The CSS working group is discussing how background-attachment:fixed should interact with transforms (both 2-D and 3-D). The spec currently has some wording, but I don't know if we implement this or not, or how hard it would be. (I suspect the "poke a hole" behavior would be hard at least for 3-D transforms, if not for 2-D as well.) https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=17521
What behavior do we want the spec to specify here? - poke a hole through to the viewport? - draw the background as what you'd get if there were a hole poked through to the viewport and no transforms, but then transform it? - fall back to background-attachment: scroll for some set of cases? - something else? -David -- 𝄞 L.
