In https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1115691 I just landed an API on DOMWindowUtils that exposes the number of frames constructed and reflowed.
This is useful for writing simple mochitests for performance bugs that are of the form "X should not cause frame reconstruction" or "Y should not cause reflow".
