It seems that since both SSL and SASL are methods of encrypting the LDAP
traffic, one is redundant if the other is used. Is it the case? If I can
set sasl secprops maxssf to > 0, does it mean I am not using SASL at that
time?
No you use SASL for authentication and SSL for encryption
By the way, I haven't found an easy way to set this parameter in MozLDAP
distribution.
