That doesn't answer my question. Which window do you want in my example
with target=_blank: the window that got opened, or the window the link
was in?
If the former, which window do you want if window.location.href is set:
the window it was set on, or the window doing the setting? What if the
setting happened because window A called a function on window B which
did the setting?

P.S. I should note that for a lot of these scenarious there is exactly
one window you _can_ get a hold of, and that's the one in whose
loadgroup the load is happening. That's already been mentioned, but you
just need to watch out for assumptions about that window being the one
you really want.
