excellent. Its sort of an aside, but I think we should migrate to always using this limit (6) regardless of persistent connection suitability because of the implications of parallel connections and their multiplicative impact on congestion windows. The other limit (is it 15 by default? I forget.) allows really big parallel bursts which probably lead to packet drops and tragically slow retransmissions. Chrome has a single limit (6), regardless of persistent-status. Servers that wish to opt into more parallelism can (and do) do it in a browser-neutral way by domain sharding which allows them to preserve the benefits of persistent connections - which are huge on SSL. _______________________________________________ dev-tech-network mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-tech-network
