It seems like a shame to lose canonical URIs as well as the existing
update mechanism/API for appcache. There's probably no hope of this
being standardized, is there? It's just another addition to the long
list of incompatible formats that are almost like zip but gratuitously
different.
It would be really nice to be able to stuff an appcache from a zip file.
