I think that'splatform's business to determine if the app is running in
the browser or standalone and to behave accordingly. As an author I would
not like to check for any kind or obscure property to see what is my
runtime environment and to add conditions to manage that situation. If a
link is clicked on a chromeless execution environment the runtime should
be opening a new browser window automatically.
