Just in time for your holiday breaks, an update from the Simulatorors!
*Version 1.0**Released*
We shipped version 1.0, our Minimum Viable Product, on December 5, via
this hacks.mozilla.org blog post

It is available from addons.mozilla.org
<https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/firefox-os-simulator/>, and so far its
AMO uptake and reviews are good!
But we know we have much more to do, so after 1.0 comes...
*Version 1.1*
The next version will include a number of bug fixes and enhancements, a
few new features, and of course an updated version of B2G/Gaia. We're
still working out the exact scope and schedule, but we're in
release-early-and-often mode, so expect to see it soon (mid-January?).
In the meantime, I'll upload preview releases to the distribution server
on a regular basis, and you can always install the latest preview
release via these links: Windows

The current preview is 1.1pre2, and it includes a new feature that adds
an app's permissions to Firefox when you add the app to the Simulator,
so you can test the app inside Firefox in addition to the Simulator (to
the extent that Firefox supports the WebAPIs upon which your app depends).
*Weekly Status Meetings On Hiatus*
Our weekly meetings are on hiatus until Wednesday, January 16. Join us
then for the latest word!
They are Wednesdays at 1pm PT (21:00 UTC); they last half an hour; we
meet in the /Mozilla Apps/ vroom; and those of you in Mozilla's Mountain
View and San Francisco offices can also find us in the /SFO 324 Bay
Bridge/ and /MTV 3P Peanut Butter Jelly/ phrooms.
