Hi all, It’s been a while since I sent round one of my updates, so here is what we have has in terms of new content so far this week:
1. Optimizing for high and low network speeds, by Francesco Iovine https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Apps/Developing/gather_and_modify_data/Optimizing_for_high_and_low_network_speeds A fine article that discusses the latest state of the Network Information API, and what can be done so far in this area. 2. Submitting an app to the Firefox Marketplace https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Marketplace/Submission/Submitting_an_app I’ve spent quite a lot of time revamping this information in the last week or so. 3. Shumway https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Projects/Shumway Scott Michaud nails Mozilla’s Shumway project (native Flash rendering using JavaScript!) with an explanation of how it is used, and how to file bugs and contribute 4. Anatomy of a video game https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Games/Anatomy Scott Michaud dissects the anatomy of a JavaScript game loop, discussing different available techniques and optimizations. Awesome stuff. This is very nearly finished pending a couple of fixes, but I thought I’d share it anyway because it rocks.
