Hi all, Today I have been working on restructuring the MDN App Center[1]. You’ll notice that the left hand navigation has been simplified somewhat.
The Quickstart pages are unchanged, but I have given the design and build pages a much flatter structure, broken up the API reference pages into multiple topic pages instead of one huge unwieldy page, and added a “Tools and frameworks” page. This is all in accordance with the restructuring plan I have discussed with many of you already[2]. Next steps are to: 1. Work out a prototype structure/UX for the sublanding pages to follow, to make each page experience really cool and useful to readers. The prototype we’ve chosen is the Offline landing page[3], and we’ll be discussing this at the MDN work week this weekend in Paris. 2. Keep developing content for these pages. There’s a lot to do, but I am confident that we can get it done little by little if we keep concentrating on it a page at a time. Comments and offers of help welcome ;-) Chris Mills Senior tech writer || Mozilla developer.mozilla.org || MDN [email protected] || @chrisdavidmills [1] https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Apps [2] https://etherpad.mozilla.org/app-center-restructure [3] https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Apps/Build/Offline _______________________________________________ dev-webapps mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-webapps
