David Medinets commented on ACCUMULO-702:
-----------------------------------------

I am not sure. However, the 'thrift' command was not on my Ubuntu Linode
server. Therefore, the thrift-generated Java files could not be generated. The
core/src/main/thrift/thrift.sh shell script runs 'thrift -version'. My
understand is that Maven only downloads jar files and does not install Unix
command-line tools.
