I've finished porting the new Failover code to Windows and Mac, I've resolved
several bugs that I found as I did so. The transport is looking pretty stable
now, its a bit of a resource hog at the moment but that can be fixed over time.
If anyone watching this issue wants to check out the code and start testing it
your feedback would be welcomed.
