I'm a newbie, so I could certainly be wrong, but .... The synchronous example has a line that doesn't seem to be compatible with the Apache.NMS libraries.
This line: producer.Persistent = true; is the problem I see. The IMessageProducer class does not have a Persistent property. I believe, but again I'm a newbie so could be wrong, that that line should be replaced with: producer.DeliveryMode = MsgDeliveryMode.Persistent; I would love to hear confirmation from someone more experienced that this is correct.
