James Carman commented on AMQ-4949:
-----------------------------------
I don't know if you've already done this or not, but has there been any
discussion on the mailing lists about this idea? Is this the general consensus
on how it should work? This could impact anyone upgrading, so perhaps we
should [DISCUSS] on users@activemq?
> Webconsole doesn't prompt to username/password

> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: OSGi/Karaf, webconsole
> Affects Versions: 5.9.0

>
> When deploying ActiveMQ in Karaf (feature:install), the default
> etc/activemq.xml use the Karaf JAAS realm. It means that we have to use
> username/password on the ConnectionFactory to obtain a Connection.
> The ActiveMQ WebConsole should check if the JAASAuthenticatorPlugin is enable
> and prompt to username ans password.
> Or, it should use ConfigAdmin to get default principal/credential.
