Petter Nordlander commented on ACTIVEMQ6-12:
--------------------------------------------

Some input to the topic:

Starting a AMQ broker using a connection string is a kickass feature in
regression testing. "Production" code can be used directly in a JUnit test by
simply changing the connection factory URI from e.g. "tcp://whatever:61616" to
"vm://localhost?broker.persistent=false". I've seen and used this style of code
in a decent amount of JUnit tests in different scenarios.

I can't imagine an ActiveMQ successor that takes serious steps back in
embedability and testability.

> Compare and Contract ActiveMQ6 and ActiveMQ 5.X embedability.
