The current test tool requires a Maven project to be configured with the perf
test plugin. While this is useful in some scenarios, in the majority of
instances when you want to run it in production environments Maven repos are
not available for access, and you end up pre-loading a local repo on a laptop,
zipping it and installing manually into the environment to test. It would be
much handier to have the test tool distributed as an executable fat jar.
