I had a similar issue once on a different list. The email I was unsubscribing from wasn't the actual email registered.
There was an alias somewhere and I had to send the unsubscribe using the registered email. Not the target alias. Look at the details of the message and send the unsubscribe using the email you had registered. You should look at the whole path for the message. Maybe that would help you.
