HI people, anyone is interested into getting the journal faster? I was looking for https://lore.kernel.org/linux-block/[email protected]/ and https://openjdk.java.net/jeps/352: the former more complex, should pair (now) as a libaio alternative posix-compliant that would work at its best with 3D XPoint hardware to save many context switches and improve significatly IOPS for *nix OSes while the latter, much simpler to achieve (will use the Mapped Journal, but using MethodHandle to support some new mapped behaviours available) and would benefit any disk with PMEM interface (eg Intel Optane disks), any interest, curiosity, ideas?
