I hadn't checked my emails and only just saw this. I merged https://github.com/apache/activemq-artemis/pull/5136 earlier for https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARTEMIS-4785 and https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARTEMIS-4702. Those changes are not really appropriate for a 2.36.1. I'd also say the subtask https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARTEMIS-4702 that you merged previously for that same overall task isnt either. Looking at the wider set, there are certainly those that aren't strictly bug fixes.
So I'd go with 2.37.0 as previously expected personally, or else branch to take those all out.
