Growing the community and getting our changes integrated into the primary source code will require a lot of hard work. Identifying the problem we are trying to solve and it would also be important that our changes align with the objectives of the maria db project and it provides community a chance to grow. Creating a proposal with the benefit of our changes explicitly mentioned in it. Sharing the proposal with community and getting feedback from other developers and user. Once we have cleared the proposal and have done taking the feedback from users we can move towards the implementation of what we proposed. Once the code is Implemented we can move towards the testing of the code. Using automated tools and manual testing to ensure that your changes do not negatively impact the community.
