   You can either install it in using Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) which 
basically gives you all the functionalities of Linux and its terminal inside 
your Windows OS. Refer to [this 
link](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/wsl/wsl-introduction/) 
on instructions on how to use it. There are extensions for it too which can 
allow you to access the Linux directories in a GUI window. Here's a [video 
tutorial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QC7a9nowsz8) on how to set up the GUI.
   
   The other option, and the one I recommend would be to install a Virtual 
Machine (VM) inside your Windows system using Oracle Virtual Box. Follow the 
instructions on 
[this](https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/how-to-run-ubuntu-desktop-on-a-virtual-machine-using-virtualbox)
 page for installing it. I recommend using the latest stable release of Ubuntu.
