Hi Amila, We don't have WFS, WMS and WPS right now b/c that's not the focus of those working on SIS right now -- those folks like Martin D, Joe W, and Adam E and others are trying to lay the ground work for Features/Coverage, Metadata, import/export, NetCDF, etc.
However if you guys are going to implement some of these capabilities and do so in Airavata as Workflows, my point is, why not implement them in SIS as a core spatial library and then make Airavata depend on it? SIS is definitely a more natural home for geospatial code since that is its core focus. Either way the decision is up to you guys -- I'm simply suggesting. At the end of the day it's up to those doing the work -- aka you :) Cheers, Chris ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Chris Mattmann, Ph.D. Senior Computer Scientist NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Pasadena, CA 91109 USA Office: 171-266B, Mailstop: 171-246 Email: [email protected] WWW: http://sunset.usc.edu/~mattmann/ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Adjunct Assistant Professor, Computer Science Department University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA 90089 USA ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ -----Original Message----- From: AMILA RANATUNGA <[email protected]> Reply-To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Date: Saturday, June 8, 2013 11:02 AM To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Cc: Lahiru Gunathilake <[email protected]>, Sameera Jayaratna <[email protected]>, Shahani Markus Weerawarana <[email protected]>, Suresh Marru <[email protected]>, "Pierce, Marlon" <[email protected]>, Jun Wang <[email protected]>, "[email protected]" <[email protected]>, Nipuni Perera <[email protected]> Subject: Re: Integrating OGC"s WPS capabilities with Apache Airavata >Hi, > >Thanks a lot for the reply.
