I'm going to start this transition today. If you have any uncommitted code that you want to commit before the conversion, please either do this or let me know by 1:00 pm US EST today that you need more time. If you have any suggestions or other concerns on this process, please let me know by 1:00 pm US EST today. Otherwise, I'll file the INFRA ticket at 1:00 pm.
This will be a straightforward conversion with no code reorganization. We'll preserve our commit history. This goes through Apache INFRA, so you can look at tickets [1] to see what is involved. Our repository will be offline for a bit while this conversation is going on, so I'll let everyone know when the process starts and when it finishes. We'll also need some several people to verify the repo after conversion. We do not have a current git mirror of our svn (right?) as most other projects making this request do, so I don't know if this is a required precursor.
