Are there any reference example compute resource definitions for XSEDE resources available ?
e.g. stampede, comet, etc ...
I logged into to http://testdrive.airavata.org , but of course, I don't have admin access to view resources.

The explanation here https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AIRAVATA/Tutorial+07+-+PHP+Reference+Gateway+for+Airavata+-+Gateway+Admin+Guide is somewhat minimal and it would be nice to have access to working reference examples to properly map well known XSEDE resources. It would be helpful to have some explanation for each field and exactly how it is used by airavata...

Resource setting tab :

Host name (*): I wondered if this was the host domain name or just a handle. Assuming the former due to the comment "(Required to communicate with the resource)" in the Admin Guide. Host aliases : I know it is not (*)'d but how/why is this used ? e.g. comet.sdsc.xsede.org also is aka (canonical) comet.sdsc.org ... IP addresses : why should I enter these if you have the host name ? will it override the default hostname DNS lookup ? if there is more than one available, should they be entered ?
e.g. comet.sdsc.org has two public ip's

Queue tab:

Max Memory For Queue( In MB ) : ? is this the maximum memory per node or total per job or something else ? how does this interact with Resource tab: Maximum Memory Per Node ( In MB ) ?

File systems tab:
HOME
WORK
LOCALTMP
SCRATCH
ARCHIVE

How exactly are these used by Airavata ?
for example, will all jobs be "run" under WORK or SCRATCH and is this from the running job perspective or the login uesr's perspective ? (e.g. comet has some differences)

I'll likely have some more questions on the job submission and data movement tabs ...

Thanks,
Emre
