To whom it may concern,

I hope you’re having a great weekend! My name is Rayan Syed, and I’m
extremely interested in contributing to the Containerized Deployment of
Airavata Services project for Google Summer of Code 2025. I am currently a
Junior at Boston University studying Computer Engineering and an incoming
Software Development Engineer intern at AWS.

I have a strong background in cloud infrastructure and containerization,
having deployed containerized applications on Kubernetes (including LLM
workloads on OpenShift) and developed cloud-based batch processing
solutions at Two Sigma, where containerized applications were critical to
success.

Beyond GSoC, I would love to contribute to this project regardless of
whether I’m selected. I have a deep passion for continuous learning and
enjoy taking on projects that push my technical growth—I currently work in
four research labs because I love exploring new challenges!

I do have a few questions before finalizing my proposal:

1. Would there be any concerns with me working on this project alongside my
AWS internship this summer? I am fully committed to dedicating at least 20
hours per week and am confident that I can contribute meaningfully.

2. Are there any particular challenges or key priorities for this project
that you’d recommend I focus on in my proposal? I’d love to understand the
broader vision and any critical aspects beyond the project description.

3. Would mentorship still be available even if my proposal is not accepted?
I’m very eager to contribute regardless of the outcome.

I appreciate your time, and I’m excited about the possibility of
contributing to this project. Looking forward to your response!

Sincerely,
Rayan Syed
