Hi Airavata team, My name is Junaid Shaikh, and I’m a 3rd year AI & Data Science student from India. I am very interested in contributing to Apache Airavata and preparing a strong application for GSoC 2026.
I’ve subscribed to this mailing list and would like to get properly connected with the community and start contributing. I’m particularly interested in the Django portal / frontend and any areas where new contributors are most needed, but I’m open to working on other parts of the project as well. Could you please help me with: 1. Pointers to good first issues or beginner‑friendly tasks suitable for a new contributor. 2. The recommended documentation or tutorials to set up Airavata (and the Django portal) locally for development. 3. Information on where most design/architecture discussions happen (for example, whether the architecture or users mailing lists are important to join as well).
