I think we should try to promote Allura more, so we can get more users and contributors. Recently we got a nice slick logo and website, and have made another release, but I think we can do more.
One idea I had would be to write articles or blog posts about new releases and new features. We're doing great stuff, but what shows that on allura.apache.org? Just a short line "Jun 2015 Changelog". It's buried behind that Changelog link. So I was thinking we could write a nice page when we make a release or other improvements, and then have a News section to highlight those on our main page. If we write news articles (or other types, like how-tos) we could then promote them on reddit, hacker news, etc too. Getting our name and features out in front of more eyes would be good.
