Hi Milinda, welcome! I am planning on being the mentor for GSoC. This mailing list is a good place to ask questions, or on our tickets. We also use IRC a little bit, but with timezone differences, etc, sometimes messages get missed. Asking questions here is great, so that other Allura developers and other people interested in GSoC can all learn and help, not just from me. The Contributing guide is a good place to start, glad you found it. I'd recommend just diving in and trying to make a small improvement to Allura, as a way to get experience with it. This section has some suggestions for that: https://forge-allura.apache.org/docs/development/contributing.html#finding-something-to-work-on Also running Allura and exploring how its projects, tools, etc work is good to learn the concepts. The rest of the documentation talks about other concepts of Allura. And there are some videos at https://forge-allura.apache.org/p/allura/wiki/Videos/ if you like that format. -- Dave Brondsema : d...@brondsema.net http://www.brondsema.net : personal http://www.splike.com : programming <><
