Hi, It looks like student applications are due on April 9, so there is some time, but good to be thinking about how a project proposal will take shape. http://community.apache.org/gsoc.html has a recommended template/outline for Apache projects. A good proposal will list and describe all the steps in the project, so it would be helpful over the next weeks to spend more time working with Allura and the details of your project idea. Maybe submit several merge requests for small changes. That will help you get ready and understand better what is really involved in the project. Also important in a proposal is how much time you have available during the summer work period. In the past, some students have shared their proposals here on this public list where others can see and provide feedback.
