[~jaimin], I think a better way to merge is to use jQuery.extend:
http://api.jquery.com/jQuery.extend/.
With the patch, we are duplicating the namespace template. So if we add
another namespace, we have to remember to change both. Instead, we can create
a single namespace template and use jQuery.extend.
