As for how to modify hadoop-env.sh in the meantime...  

1. On the Ambari Server, browse to the stack definition (in this case, HDP  
2.0, which is also inherited by HDP 2.1 Stack):  

/var/lib/ambari-server/resources/stacks/HDP/2.0.6/hooks/before-START/templates  

2. Modify the hadoop-env.sh.j2 template  

3. Save and restart the Ambari Server. This will cause the Stack definition  
to be re-loaded by the agents.
