Deploying standalone Storm clusters ( without HDFS) is a very common customer
request. Most often, they already have existing Hadoop clusters and they just
want to use Ambari to stand up another Storm cluster that can connect to HDFS
in their existing. In this scenario it does not make sense to force them to
have HDFS running on the nodes of the newly provisioned Storm cluster.
Ambari needs to make HDFS deployment optional when deploying storm clusters.
