Sriharsha Chintalapani commented on AMBARI-8135:
------------------------------------------------

[~u39kun] In kafka 0.8.1.1 delete topic doesn't work properly hence didn't add
delete topic to service_check.py.
only thing that service_check.py tests is if its able to communicate to the
kafka broker. If the broker is not up service_check.py wouldn't be able to tell
if the topic exists . I understand the stdout doesn't look good.

> Kafka Service Check does not show any output in case of either success or
> failure

> We should output commands being run. Otherwise, the user has no idea what
> it's doing for the service check and cannot troubleshoot if service check
> fails.
