Sorry about previous comment, it's actually the patch. The patch is now
attached as the file AMBARI-8715.patch.
The patch replaces 'rpm -q' with 'hadoop org.apache.hadoop.util.VersionInfo'
which uses hadoop itself to report its own version. This makes the version
determination independent of package management system, but it does require
that at the time that the script is running, that hadoop be installed and
available on the current path.
