Qing Chi updated AMBARI-9229:
-----------------------------
Description: We want to call ambari server Blueprint REST API to create a
cluster which only contains Resource Manager and Node Manager nodes and points
to an existing HDFS cluster. But now we have some problems with this. First,
the roles namenode and datanode must exist when create a cluster using
blueprint of ambari server rest api. Cloudera Manager already has this
function. The documentation URL is

(was: Hi guys,
I am a vmware engineer and working on BDE(Big Data Extensions). I am working on
the feature create compute only cluster using Ambari server with Isilon. I read
the Isilon documentation and found the ambari server does not support external
HDFS. i.e Ambari server just create compute node and point external HDFS URL(No
need to create HDFS roles). )
