Went to YARN service UI page and noted the default/recommended values of
sliders {{%ge of Total NM CPU}} and {{Total NM CPU vCores}} (which was 80% and
2). Then changed the values to something else and saved the configs. After
successful save, the UI for both controls showed the defaults/recommended as
the values that were saved instead of the values recommended from API.
Here {{%ge of Total NM CPU}} has a static recommended-value, and {{Total NM
CPU vCores}} has a /recommendation based dynamic recommended value.
